This listing is for a BEST Gasket complete/full gasket set for 1939-48 Ford and Mercury passenger car models and 1941-47 Ford truck models with the 239ci flathead V-8 engine with front mounted distributor. P/N RS511G; head gasket bore is 3.295". We offer "big bore" head gaskets for large overbored blocks.

This gasket set is for the early-design 239ci engines which have the distributor driven directly off the forward end of the camshaft; compared to the late-design where the distributor is at a perpendicular angle to the camshaft. Also to help with identification, the 239ci has a 3.187" standard cylinder bore; compared to the 3.062" standard bore of the 221ci flathead.
